Happy Diwali Everydody!!
Sorry I couldn't post earlier, I was caught up in festivities!!
Diwali is the festival of lights. It is celebrated when Lord Ram returns to his hometown after the victorious battle of good over evil when Lord Ram kills the evil demon Ravan. That night there was no moon either. The people, in joy, put up tons of lights.
During Diwali we burst firecrackers, spend time with freinds and family, eat yummy Indian sweets, Light diyas (earthen lamps{made out of clay}) and make rangolis {Paintings made out of colered powders we make on the floor} All the houses are decorated full of lights.
We made Rangoli's with Diya's
