I'm back again with another card for Summer Card Camp 2!!
This card is for week 2. I used the 3rd sketch and the class colors for the week!
So here is my card:
I tried to capture the light so I took a couple pics. It's kinda hard to tell in the picture but I stamped the sentiment (Avery Elle) in brown...actually it's Potter's Clay from Memento (I used the Dew Drop ink). I like Memento because it comes off really clear on the stamps as opposed to some that might stain. This card is a little different than my usual style...a little more sophisticated I guess but I think it came out nice.
Hi Guys! I made a card for summer card camp 2 using one of the three sketches and the color combo for last week. I made it earlier but never got to post it...
So here's my card:
I embossed the panel using a hexagon embossing folder and the sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Critters at the Dog Park set.
Hey Everybody! I hope your summers going real well...not so much on this side(it's raining :/ ) Anyhow, I would like to talk about a product that I had recently heard of although, they are out there, SMASH BOOKS. I keep a journal so this is the thing for me. Smash Books are from K&Company they are kind of like a mix of journaling and scrapbooking.
See for yourself:
These awesome books come in many colors with many themes. They have an embossed cover and the pages are all kind of funny and abstract. Here are some examples of books:
This is the Pretty Paper one
This is the International folio
Some other themes are smart, couture, tasty, eco, cutesy and many more! Each of the books come with a pen to write in your book and on the reverse side there is some glue to stick your things. The pens can come in different colors too.
To make these books even more fun they have a variety of products that go along with the books such as special washi tape or tags.
One product I like in particular is the Smash Pads
So these are little pads with random pages. They also have a theme like the black one is quotes and they have a couple different pages that you can fill out. If you saw the video, at one point the woman took a page out of a smash pad and glued it in.
Some of the other products are:
This is a cute little date stamper and alongside that there are a bunch of funny little sayings like OH SNAP or Mad Props, To Do. So I thought that was really nice. I just thought these were some really fun cute things and I love Smash books so I thought I should share it with everyone else!
Hi Everybody! I made a card for the 'mazing Mojo Monday Challenge!! It's there 300th challenge and they have 30 PRIZES to share!!!!!!!!!!
So here is the special sketch:
and here is what I made:
I substituted the circle with the dolphin because the dolphin had the same semi-circle shape and the tail is at the bottom. I like the nice tie-dye effect I got on the dolphin... I used Spectrum Noir markers...I think it was TB2 for the top and TB1 for the underside. The adorable image is the monthly freebie from Birdie Brown along with the sentiment. I stamped out the background on the banner using 2 flowers from the Lawn Fawn Flutter By set and some may say the dolphins and flowers don't go along however I disagree because I think they both have a tropical feel. I don't know about you though...So that is my card for today! Don't forget to enter in the Mojo Monday Grand Challenge...it's random....
Actually, I had made this card a lot sooner but never got to take pictures of it...I had planned to do one card at the beginning when I had made it and another one later. Well, let's just hope and may the odds be in my favor...lol :P
Hi everyone! I've been thinking of quitting blogging so that's why i haven't posted in a while... I haven't stopped creating though. I have made many wonderful creations and I'm learning a lot from all these video tutorials. Actually here are some of the many cards I have created:
Sets
Interlocking Backdrops
Home Sweet Home
Sets
Flutter By
Sets
Critters at the Dog Park
I made all of these using Lawn Fawn sets. I find them cute and simple enough to use and the sentiments are just adorable! You can also find these cards on my Flickr account...I just got an account ( Anu.bis - my username) I have also made other cards but haven't got the chance to upload them.
Just to fill you in more, there are 2 more topics I want to cover. One is the Spectrum Noir markers. They are a brand of alcohol markers and I had recently got some. I have around 5/6 sets. The markers come in sets of 6 and 24. The sets of 24 are special sets such as brights and pastels... none of the markers double so if you want a color you won't get any repeats or you will have to buy a specific set.I really like these markers and they blend nicely too.
Also, I am taking Online card classes this summer.
The teachers of Summer Card Camp 2 are Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire. But of course there are many other guest designers too. It is an interactive card class and the classes will start Monday, July 8th. It's a 3 week card class with new things to learn everyday! I can't wait and you should join too! Plus, they're giving out a lot of discounts!
Thanks,
Hello Crafty Friends!! I'm sorry it has been such a while...my birthday was May 3rd and after that I had to take the New Jersey assessment of Skills and Knowledge (NJASK) But....now I'm back on a very special Mother's Day so no need to worry!
Although I wasn't here....I made some cards in the meantime...
This I colored with oil pastels as I didn't have many coloring media's to use at the time
But then for my birthday I got BRAND NEW SPECTRUM NOIR MARKERS!
Here is a close up of the coloring
I also made another card with the same image...i was practicing my blending(sorry the photography is not so good)
The stamp I used is from Clearly Besotted Stamps
I want to enter these cards in the following challenges:
So for Mothers day I bought my mom the CRITTERS AT THE DOG PARK-LAWN FAWN set...she was surprised! I also made a card you can check over at her blog(the monkey one...from her two little monkeys)
